My 2016 F23 is among the most dependable vehicles I have ever had. The seat design is unsatisfactory; yet, the overall structure is very robust. Constructed prior to the inauguration of the MX facility.

I appreciated the article. No degree of "cubing" will benefit plastic components. This observation is not exclusive to BMW; it only acknowledges that although the use of plastic is economically advantageous for manufacturing, it poses challenges for owners during repeated heat cycles.

Regarding seating, for the sake of comfort, why were ventilated chairs not made standard? My wife's 2008 Lincoln car has it. Exclamation of surprise or disbelief.

I am employed in the plastics sector, and our latest instrument is a 3D scanner. I can scan a component and immediately compare it to the CAD model from which it was generated. However, I agree that plastic is not optimal for many applications. I recall a Ford I previously had, in which the bushing securing the clutch pedal assembly was composed of plastic and often fractured. During one occasion of reassembly, I noticed that the push rod of the clutch master cylinder was likewise composed of plastic, and I was undoubtedly frustrated when it fractured in my fingers as I was trying to reassemble it.

As my mind meanders...

I ponder which substance will ultimately replace "plastic". I put that term in quotes, acknowledging the existence of many interpretations, such as "Leftoverture," which I suspect is more familiar to others than I could ever really comprehend. I have heard discussions on graphene derivatives and a business in India engaged in 3D printing a metallic composite of some kind.

I am intrigued by what the next 25 to 30 years may entail, considering the advancements made over the previous century. It is astonishing.

The interiors would be devoid of decoration. A hologram, apparently hanging in space, will materialize upon voice command, presenting a button or switch that may be activated with a motion inside that area. Cameras that detect eye movement will enable you to activate a function with a gaze or a blink. Sales of artificial tears will surge.
