I received my 2023 760ix on July 5, 2023. While returning home following a delivery, a rock the size of a hockey puck caused damage to the windshield.
I used my insurance provider, USAA, which has a contractual agreement with Safelite. After one week, Safelite was unable to find a replacement windshield, and both Safelite and USAA let me to directly approach the BMW Dealer to get and install a new windshield for my damaged one.
This, in my opinion, ensured it would be an OEM component.
Upon receipt of the replacement windshield, the Dealer sent me to their third-party installation in Orlando, who provided excellent service.
The primary reason for my replacement was supply chain complications.
