I attended a track event last week and began experiencing unusual problems with the vehicle. It is a V10, S-tronic, VF750. On the first day, the vehicle performed OK; nevertheless, I had a couple of small incidents where the engine momentarily lost power, occurring on two separate occasions without generating significant problems on the course. On the second day, after completing 5-6 laps each session, the vehicle exhibited similar issues but with more severity. I received a Point Bye in the front straight, a high-speed stretch of the circuit. Upon reaching the floor, the vehicle experienced intermittent power loss for brief moments, followed by restoration, and then another loss. I hardly succeeded in passing in this manner, although I ensured my safety while doing so, navigated the track, and disembarked. The same occurrence happened each outing, especially as the vehicle became heated and I was seeking wide-open throttle.
By the last run, I felt I had gained a deeper understanding of the situation. The automobile seemed to disengage from gear, the engine reached the rev limitation, stalled, and then resumed operation, repeating this sequence. This happened rapidly. I released the accelerator at one juncture, let the vehicle to stabilize, downshifted, and accelerated, nevertheless the cycle persisted, with the tachometer fluctuating. I thereafter recognized that my day had over and disembarked off the track. Throughout these incidents, I experienced no warning lights or traction control notifications.
Upon returning home, I scanned the automobile and identified many issues. A fault occurred in the cooling system, but it was a singular incident. Additionally, there are issues related to the turn signal bulb and rear parking sensor, the cause of which is unclear.
My battery is around 4 to 5 years old. The alternator charging seemed OK; nevertheless, I saw battery signals indicating low charge, although there were no evident concerns with starting or operation. This battery issue occurs only when I deviate off the track, which is peculiar and has persisted for the last several years, with no apparent explanation. It has never impacted the vehicle.
There is an abundance of material; nonetheless, I want suggestions on where to start my search.
