Certain traditional Range Rover owners were displeased that other vehicles they deemed inferior to a Range Rover were given the same name. Specifically, the L320 model, which was introduced in 2005, was based on the Discovery 3 and had advanced traction control systems and engines. The first RRS was a more advanced automobile compared to the RR at that period, and although it was being manufactured, the L320 model continued to be built on the D3/4 platform, which was not necessarily a disadvantage.
