On August 5th, our rented car had 8,000 miles and was under 12 months on the lease. While operating the vehicle, a "error drivetrain" notice appears, causing the automobile to shut down abruptly on the roadway. Bainbridge Island, Washington We contacted BMW Roadside, who arranged for a towing service and an Uber for our transportation. The vehicle is collected 2.5 hours later and sent to BMW Northwest in Tacoma. The towing business used an inappropriate towing mechanism, resulting in over $8,000 in damages to the BMW X1, as reported by the service department. We informed BMW Roadside, and they submitted a claim to the towing company's insurance. We have been without our vehicle for almost 30 days and have spent more than $2,200 in automobile rental expenses. We have informed many stakeholders at BMW without any outcomes. I anticipated that this matter would be rectified within a week and that someone would contact me to ensure my "rental car" allowance was addressed. This is our fourth lease with BMW, and it will be our last one. They have definitively lost a valuable consumer at this juncture. Does anybody have any recommendations? Extremely disheartened!
