Differential Fluid for 560SEL

Greetings to everybody,
I attempted to ascertain the appropriate fluid for the differential of my 1996 560SEL, but I was unable to locate any pertinent information, even in the handbook. I replaced all fluids in my 560 except for this particular one. I located the procedure for altering the capacity in the handbook, but I could not find the appropriate fluid. Could you assist me, please?

Transfer case? Are you referring to differential fluids?
If such is your intention, get 85W90 Hypoid Gear Oil only for open differentials (not for restricted slip).

Verify the presence of a plate in the differential (restricted slip).

I am pleased I inquired and grateful to XseC0 for enlightening me: there is, in fact, a plate on my differential, which was entirely obscured by over thirty years of accumulated debris, rendering it illegible. 'Sperrdifferential' denotes a 'restricted slip' or 'locking differential'. What oil do you suggest for that purpose? Thank you so much; this was quite helpful.
