What is the extent of the annoyance caused by blind spots?

I have indeed seen considerable blind spots in the R8s I have driven.

Residing in an urban environment with bicycles and pedestrians, the blind spot concern is significant for me; indiscriminately accelerating is clearly not a viable choice.

How have you addressed the blind spots? Have they become inconsequential?

I have not had any problems with blind spots. Simply calibrate your mirrors appropriately. The side of the R8 should not be seen in the side mirrors. If you do, your mirrors are improperly calibrated.

I have not found the blind spots on my R8 to be problematic, if the mirrors are properly positioned. The visibility in my Huracan is inadequate; despite optimal mirror adjustments, there is a little blind area where a vehicle may not be seen. I only pressed the directional control shortly before subsequently applying the pedal forcefully.

Consider examining European specification aspherical side mirrors.

Both LHD and RHD driver side mirrors are available for purchase, which, in my opinion, significantly reduces your vehicle's blind areas. The one drawback is the expense (if I recall correctly, they exceeded $500 per, in addition to shipping, prior to Covid.)

I have not seen any problems with blind spots; I may just be used to them.

My RS5 has much larger blind spots. I have never had any problems with the R8.

I am certain that I am the one individual on this site that regards the owner's handbook with seriousness. Refer to § 194.4.7b. I will not elaborate on the procedure for reducing blind spots; nevertheless, I have captured a screenshot illustrating the correct method for eliminating blind spots when reversing.

The Spyder, when the roof is retracted, has no blind spots. Despite the increase, there is nothing concerning.

With the mirrors installed, blind areas are eliminated.

However, the trouble arises in the blind areas of others. Upon acquiring my R8, I quickly realized the need of avoiding the 7-8:00 and particularly the 4-5:00 locations of cars, with SUVs being my primary concern. I saw an excessive number of individuals encroaching onto my space, and the R8 is sufficiently low to become inconspicuous at the 4-5 o'clock position of an inattentive person.
