After many years of contemplating a successor for DD, I remain unconvinced by any available possibilities. What is athletic, distinctive, opulent, technologically advanced, and aesthetically pleasing? It seems to be quite difficult to fulfill all the requisite criteria.
I have been considering the M8; it fulfills most criteria, although I am not enamored with its aesthetics. I had considered the M3; but, I find the front design unappealing, lacking uniqueness, and it does not provide the features typical of more premium vehicles. I had contemplated the AMG GT; however, the price is exorbitant. Nonetheless, it may fulfill the majority of my criteria.
While exploring new autos, I have been astonished by the apparent disappearance of some possibilities. Indeed, it is obscure; but, I like my car's night vision, which has prevented collisions with deer on several occasions, a feature that seems to be absent in most premium vehicles now. Marginal but disheartening, since the new "features" seem to consist of 10,000 inside LEDs and more displays. I would otherwise decline them.
Nonetheless, I am aware that familiar contenders such as the RS6 and RS7 will be mentioned; the new M5 is an abomination that I have attempted to appreciate but cannot due to its aesthetics and weight. I see that we are in an age of luxury automobiles; nonetheless, I find myself unable to appreciate the available choices. What am I overlooking? The new e-tron RS Performance is really impressive; but, if it were equipped with a V8 engine, I would likely be more inclined to pursue it, although I am not prepared for an electric vehicle.
